>There are 4 steps:

First, you have to have website on which you can host your photos. Usually, high speed internet accounts come with same and include about 5-10 Mb of space in the monthly charge. There are also free photo-hosting websites, but they usually limit the number of views and soon become a real source of frustration.

Second, you have to re-size your photos to fit the "page". Irfanview is a free viewer program downloadable from the Internet that does this well, but there are many others. I find that 500-600 pixels on the horizontal is just right for a full-size photo and ends up being about 60-100 kb depending on complexity.

Third, you insert each photo into your document at the appropriate place in your text using the following phrase:

< img src=photo url> (See note 1 below)

4) Before posting, click on preview, and ensure your photos are visible. If they are not, find the typo and correct it, then preview again.

NOTES:

1) Do NOT insert the space between the < and img. If you do the photo will not appear. (I needed to put it in the have it print bere because I've forgotten the html trick to have it print when written correctly.)

2) The best way to ensure you make no errors is to open your photo in your browser, copy the URL, and then just paste it into your text.

Cheers, Garrett

HTML "trick" ...

Richard Allen

>Hi Garrett

The HTML "trick" is to use a character entity for the left angle bracket. The character entity for left angle bracket:

&lt;

so your example would be entered as:

<img src=photo url>

The photo url should be enclosed in " (double quotes) so the HTML syntax would be:

<img src="photo url">

A photo url would look like this:

http://www.gyniahouse.com/hollow/thumbnails/08_can.jpg

Please note that the "preview" function will resolve the character entity in the edit area as well as in the preview. So yopu have to redo the character entity each time you preview.

Good Luck

Richard
