Couple of Pens

>I thought I would post a couple of pens I just finished turning. I'm heading back home to see family and thought I would bring everyone a pen. The slim pens are for the ladies and the thicker ones are for the men.

I was told a finishing secret today by a Lee Valley employee. Worked great! To apply CA glue use Polystyrene (white) packaging sheet material or the laminate flooring underlayment from IKEA because it doesn't have any fibers whatsoever and it also doesn't contain any moisture and CA doesn't bond to it. So no hairs, no white gunk or stuck on applicators. Worked beautifully and took about 30 seconds to apply.

Woods are from left to right.

>Have fund deciding who get which one. This last Christmas, I gave all my employees (15 of them) a pen. I separated them into two groups....one for the men and one for the women. I did not put any names on them but wrapped them and had them just grab one so as not to be accused of playing favorites. As we all know, some are nicer than others and I figured that was the best way to handle it. Worked out fine. The luck of the draw might keep you out of trouble. Could also number them and have everyone draw a number. No difference between employees and family members when it comes to things like this. Just a bit of information that might keep you out of trouble.

>Thanks Jerry.

I made the pens according to who I was going to give them to so I should be OK.
