Box Elder Hollow form

>Hi Everyone,
Below are some pictures of a box elder hollow form I just finished last night. It's shape is inspired by Wally Dickerman's "Small Treasures".
I roughed out this hollow form several months ago while the wood was still quite wet. At the time, I planned on working on it right away. With that in mind, I soaked it in alcohol overnight. And just like many plans I make, I got side swiped by other projects and allowed this hollow form to dry a lot longer than I had planned. But, the drier the better.
At first I planned on using walnut for inlay at the mouth. However, due to some technical difficulties (I cut it too small), I switched to mahogany. It's not quite the contrast I wanted. But it gets the job done. I was more concerned with the shape.
The vase was then dry sanded to 600 grit, reverse chucked (too many holes for vacuum chucking), and the base turned. I then hand sanded to about 4000 grit (micro mesh)
Specs:
Outer dia.: 5"
Height: 2 3/4"
Wall thickness: 3/16"
Base dia.: 1 1/2"
Sanding Method: Dry sanded to 4000 Grit.
Finish: Watco's Danish Oil
Final: Buffed with Beall System
I'd appreciate any comments you'd like to make on the shape and proportions.
Thanks for viewing.
See ya around,

Dominic
