Chicago Trip

Ben Aragon

>Im planning a trip to Chicago in March with my family. We plan on going to the museums downtown. We will fly into Midway airport. Does anyone recommend a place to stay between the air port and downtown that wont break the bank? I also dont want to have to knife my way in and shoot my way out either. Also is there any bowl turning things I should look for while Im there?

Best Wishes,

Ben

>I don't think there is much in the way of good reasonable hotels between midway and the city. There are a couple of places in the city that are more reasonable than others, the Motel 6, I believe has a place just off Michigan Ave, on St Clair. Also check sites like Orbits and hotels.com and see if you can score a deal. Neiman Markus used to have a wood gallery at the Mich Ave store but have since killed it. There isn't much downtown to see in the way of turning stuff. Sawbridge Studios is a place to see, but is mainly furniture, but supposed to be very nice handmade wooden furniture.

>Chicago Institute of Art is really cool, and a great musuem. I went their last summer. There is also a hotel right on the main park in Downtown which was extremely cheap last summer. I'm not sure what their rates are now, and I can't recall the name.... It will come to me sometime soon.
