CARAHUASCA VINE VASE

Jim King

>This vase is made from a vine that can reach 18 inches in diameter. The name Carahuasca in the Quechua language means "drunk face". The bark of this vine is mixed with sugar cane liquer and drank as an aphrodisiac, be careful if you ever turn this. The vase is 3" x 10".

>Hi Jim, Nice shape and wood. I like it! One question: How did you do the inside? Hollowed or drilled? If drilled, how far did you go? Hey that question one almost sounds too personal. :) Alan in Md.

>Alan: We drill everything before hollowing, we have a drill bit 1" by 16" that we got from an oil drilling company so depth is not normally a problem.
