>You answered one question I had. I have just done one plastic pen and had the same experience as you. In fact it would sometimes get under the gouge tip and mess up a smooth cut. Another question. What do you sand with? I tried sandpaper and had to go up to about 320 to even start. Is micro mesh a must for all plastic, acrylic, pvc, vinyl and other such blanks? I saw another black and orange atlas you did and that made me want to try plastic again.

>I use a skew for all my pen work and get a nice finish off the tool (not that I am a great skew user, just lucky) I then start sanding at 320 grit up to 600 grit and then start using the nonwoven steel wool that Hut sells and go through all 4 grits... the last grit leaves a nice satin finish.. then some EEEpolish and a final polish with either Hut Plastic Polish or Novus Plastic Polish to get a real glass finish..
