Teknatool Service

Tom Mullane

>The other day the cross pin on the handle of my SuperNova broke... don't ask me how or why I don't know... I email Teknatool and did not get an answer...

So today I called the toll free number in WV... I actually got the factory in Australia because the WV facility was closed for the day...

The gentleman I spoke to said no problem he would immediately email WV and have a new one sent out to me...

Now they could have just sent me a new pin or asked for the old one back.. but no I am getting a completely new handle assembly..

That is the kind of service that I like to see...

>If they put in touch with Tim Geist you get service second to none. I striped a screw in a jaw slide on my Super Nova and he got me a new set of jaws in less than a week. Great service

>I bent the indexing pin on my DVR3000 by doing something I shouldn't have done. They shipped an entire pin assembly free of charge. Can't beat that kind of service.

>Rev. Doug,

I will agree that it is an underappreciated lathe. I have one also.

If you need some parts I would not hesitate to call Tim. You may recaall that a few months ago I purchased an Armiture from him that was salvaged from a used model he had. He indicated that the new ones he had were dedicated to future warranty issues.

I am afraid that the next time mine goes down I may not be able to get genuine Teknatool parts.

BTW, I will be moving in July to Lexington area. Maybe later this year we should plan to meet. I will be contacting you for info on local clubs.

Happy Turning,

John
