Hello: How did you make that blank? I saw something like this in a catalog, a pen blank made of denim material compressed and saturated with glue, epoxy or something. I liked the looks of it but thought it was a little expensive for what you got. I would be interested in trying to make my own, and maybe you have laid the groundwork for that. Thanks in advance, Jared

I like the look but a blank cost around $10.00
I think if you have enough CA you could make a pen out of a fart.
Actually after doing this I can see where the cost comes from, but that's not to say it isn't worth making at least one.
All I did was plug both ends of a set of perfect fit tubes after scuffing them.
I cut strips of denim about 3/8ths wide and just started wrapping around the tube adding CA as I went.( did use a dab of thick CA to secure the end where I started wrapping
At this point You may ask how did I keep the glue from getting all over my fingers.
I didn't.
We are still in the experimental stage with this and this is the first one.
I do see a benefit of my method over a purchased Fibermascus blank.
BEcause you are wrapping around the tube there is no need to drill.
I can use any material I want.
The blanks I saw on the fibermascus site were 5/8's.
I like to use as large of a blank as possible but I hate to waste material.(purchased)
I let mine "cure" a few hours and used accelerant as I went.
There are a lot of "voids" but filling is easy,I saved the "dust" as I went and just used more glue.
Finishing is also easy, the pen is just about pure CA so a CA finish is simple.
I wish I could give you more info but as I said this was the first one so we are in the R&D stage.
