Spalted Maple with Ziricote Rim.

>This is a new turning for '05. Spalted Maple and a Ziricote rolled rim. 7"x6"x3/32"thick. Finish is CA glue on the outside buffed. ValOil on the inside. When nearing the finished thickness the piece began to split along the spale lines. I applied CA glue to all the lines which took care of the problem... I noticed that the CA glue brought out the grain and didn't darken the wood so I coated the entire piece using thin CA glue. Seems to work great. All critiques welcome.
