new shop

>Here are some shots of my new shop. I bought a shop, there just happens to be a house nearby for me to live in. I'm excited. I've never been able to set up a shot from scratch. This is going to be fun. I'm not looking forward to shutting the lathe down but I need to set the shop up to make it comfortable and convenient to use. Needless to say I'll be scouring over the shop shots to see what you guys and gals have come up with that I can include in my new shop.

Those bikes were all left there by the former owner. They are junk bikes but most of them work. I have placed a call to a guy who recycles bikes and gives them away to kids. I hope to hear from him. I used to do that each year aat christmas but apparently Ihad more time back in those days. I would take used bikes and completely clean, repair and even paint them if needed. I enjoyed it but it sure did take a lot of time.

I don't think you ever finish setting up a shop. It just changes as your work changes. The Router table used to be the center of my shop. Now the lathe, or lathes will be the center. John

>Looks like it will be a good one, John. Congrats and have fun! I expect to be doing the same this spring when I move from the basement to the garage. First I have to get rid of the bikes. LOL Anyone want to buy a Harley?

Spence

I'd love to have a Harley. I sold my motorcyle (dirt bike) shortly after my son was born. I wasn't riding it and we needed the money. I've had a bike since I was 15. Now I'm really starting to miss it. A lot of the traveling I do could easily be done on a bike and save a lot of money on gass. Not to mention the fun of cruising on the open road.

>Hey John

Was pretty much the same for me. Got married and it was Bye Bye Bikes. Got divoriced and it was Hello Harley! LOL I'm also getting rid of a honda and a Triumph. For various reasons I'm spending more time turning than riding so I decided the bikes have to go. When I sell the Harley I'll be getting the PM3520. :) Not sure how much cruising you would want to do on my black beast as its a rigid frame chopper. LOL Turning is a lot easier on my back!

>Gotta agree with you. Mines a 1961 pan with a shovel top end. Can we say old school road rocket? LOL Have to admit I'll miss her.
