>Hi guys; While reading Bill's laser posts got me thinking about posing this question.
I received some Lee Valley gift certificates for Christmas and was thinking of using them as a down payment for a good hollowing system. I was leaning towards the Scorpion / Stinger set but am looking for advice. I am using the Nova DVR3000, with the standard bed, so do not think I have the space for the Kelton system.

I have both and they work quite well as long as you do not get overambitious, and the price compares favorably(sp?) with other systems.

I have the set and I like them. What is really nice about them is that they come with inserts for the arm brace. What those inserts allow you to do is custom make your own tools!
I just learned how to make my own for under $25. All you need is a steel rod at your home depot or lowes, some HSS bits which you can get cheap at enco.com and a tap/die kit that you can individually buy at home depot for a couple of dollars.
So I believe the Scorpion to be really versatile and you cannot go wrong.

I have had the scorpion/stinger set for about one month, and also use a nova 3K. This is altogether too much fun, particularly if you have the out rigger tool rest. Enjoy!!!
