>I've had this problem with my jet lathe since I bought it over a year ago. When turning a substantial size bowl blank (about 14") the breaking resistor will cease to function and the Delta controler will have to be re-set. Lately the motor will shut down sometimes with a heavy load.
Before I make the call anyone have an Idea what it might be?

>You might try loosening your drive belt so it will slip if you get a bad catch instead of tripping the controller. This was suggested in a post some time back. It seems to work on my 1642. It occasionally stalls while I'm coring. Hope this helps. Karl
