Lets keep it clean...

>Foul language and dirty jokes WILL NOT be tolerated on this forum.

Jokes and stories are acceptable on this forum, so long as they remain within the limits of good behavior. However, some folks will see any joke as a challenge to enter into a "Can you top this one" contest. When removing only the offensive message doesn't work, I have no choice but to remove all temptation.

Complaints?? Take them up with the management.

>A professor of mine once noted that anything that any one of us finds amusing will, without exception, be offensive to somebody.

Blonds and chickens aside, let us not take ourselves too seriously.

I shall always (barring Terminal CRS) remember a certain thread on Badger Pond concerning gnats and sequins. . .

>There are some things that will not be tolerated on this site. When a thread has degenerated to the level of explicit sexual content and use of "F" word, I am going to pull the plug on it.

I am sorry that you disagree.

>Thankfully, I missed that one. Your further detail on the language used and deleted indicates appropriate action by the moderator.

If, however, you revisit my note, you should see that I did not disagree with you, Russ.

But then, you're free to disagree on that as well.

>I still think the blondes and chicken jokes were funny and perfectly clean too. Didn't even recall seeing an F' word in the $800 joke, and though my sense of humor might be off color, it took me a minute to even see what might have been offensive in that one.

Each his own. Now to go catch me some of them 3 legged blondes..er..chickens.

>If I want jokes, I can go to my email inbox or Google something funny. If I want to talk to just one person, I email him or her. If I want to find out about woodturning I check WoodCentral.

At this forum I don't enjoy opening threads about jokes and I don't like wasting my computer time reading messages solely written from one specific person to another. I'd rather be turning.

Wood Central has been an invaluable resource to me and I try to check it every day. It's just frustrating feeling like I'm wasting precious time on what this site is NOT about.

I'm for retaining the humorous and friendly spirit, but keeping the focus on turning.

One man's opinion.

I find it rather easy...

>...to see the "OT-This is funny!!!" header and figger out that it's a joke and I find it equally easy to pass on opening it if I don't want to read a joke.
