When you give the first one to a friend or family member you'll be hooked. The best thing is I make most of them from cutoffs from bowl blanks or wood that was checking so I couldn't make bowls or hollow vessels. I cut all of this into 1x1, 2x2, 3x3 etc trying to save the biggest chunk I can. Then a year or so down the road I have great wood for small things like ornaments.
I do have a good method for turning green wood into ornaments.
