New Cherry bowl

Gil

>I setup a little photo booth in the basement. I'm looking for advice as to the best angle to take a photo from. This is a new piece of cherry which I turned. It's about 10" tall and 6" wide at the top. Critiques on the piece and the photograph technique are extremely welcomed and incouraged.

Thanks,

Gil

>Hey that is one that might look better with lacing on the opening?

It looks great as is and love that kind of spooky turning.

Good turning and be safe

>Gil Good job. I like this piece. Just to be picky for the sake of argument there is something about the bottom that bothers me. I think it's because the curve doesn't seem to continue all the way to the bottom. Unless its a problem with the photo it looks like there is a little less curve about an inch or so from the bottom. I would like to see the curve continue all the way to the bottom which would also make the foot smaller.

Well done piece.

>Yeah the curve does end shy of the bottom on this piece. It's something that I really need to work out and has been bothering me. I'm glad that you noticed it too. I might chuck it back up and try to continue the curve through the bottom.

Thanks for the comments/compliments,
