Dominic - closest I could find

Mike Schwing from Md.

>Dom, searched around for an image that would describe what I was trying to communicate in words about bottom treatments on vases. This pic, and I don't recall where it came from (wasn't turned by me), pretty much approximates what I was trying to imply about rounding off the bottom a bit while keeping the diameter the same. Make sense? Pretty piece, eh?

I found it, this is where that pic came from. Mike Orr's website. Sure has some pretty cedar burl.

NOW I get it!

They weren't kidding when they said a picture is worth a thousand words. Now I have an idea for the next hollow form I'm turning.

You can bet that I'm printing out these two photos and posting them on my cork board (near the lathe).

I really appreciate the time you both took to get me this. Thanks so much!

See ya around,

Dominic
