>Here is a small bowl I turned from bay berry. 3 1/4" by 2 1/2" tall, about 1/8" thick. Finished by wet sanding with fifty-fifty poly and naphtha and then several coats of the mix.
Here is what I found after turning. It didn't show before I turned the piece. Grrrrrr

I almost didn't scroll far enough to see the crack.... bummer. But the shape is really beautiful. Keep plugging away my friend. After all.... our material does grow on trees.
