Veritas/Wolverine jigs

>I noticed in the latest Fine Woodworking (Tools & Shop) on p. 71 a grinder setup with a Wolverine jig and what appears to be a Veritas jig somehow also used, possibly on a removeable base. Just wondering if anyone has a clever way of rigging this up so both can be used. I use the Wolverine jigs, but used to like my Veritas for certain operations.

No doubt something simular could be done for the Veritas.

>Jay,

I was in a situation similar to yours a while back. Couldn't make up my mind. Really liked the Wolverine gouges but the Veritas for everything else.

My solution was to make my own version of the Wolverine. Got the idea from a Ernie Conover's book IIRC. For the Veritas I just built three side pockets with thread holes to secure the jig in front of each wheel. Works great. If you're interested I could send you a photo later. I'm at work now.

Good luck,
