>I had some trouble getting connected to the Internet after reformatting my hard drive the other day. I finally resorted to installing NetZero to get online, so I could download my other ISP software. In doing so I saw that NetZero was offering a free web site, and I ended up spending most of the day working on the site, to which the link goes below. This is very much just preliminary, I've already talked to a professional about building me a "real" site, but I couldn't resist doing this. Let me know what you think; I'm tough, so say anything you like! :o)

Thanks so much.

>You sure turn a pretty bowl, David. You seem like a genuinely nice guy, too. Your quick and dirty website is already full of great info, good stories, and shows off without trying to the great results of a full and supportive family life.

Very nice web site.

Great looking turnings and a nice story about "the big bowl".

>Thanks Bob. That big bowl was quite an event for me - I've been planning for that one for a year or so, and things went well. The initial drying is going really well, and I look forward to finishing it.

Re: Update:

David Hammond

>For some reason the site rejected my dollar signs beside the photographs - what do I expect for free anyway, huh? - but I've added the prices to all the peices now, minus dollar signs. And I had to fix a major flaw :o) I priced that big bowl incorrectly... I can't part with that one for three grand! I guess that's what I get for building the site at one o'clock in the morning... Anyway, thanks for taking a look.

Nice work too.

Thanks.

>David, I am impressed with your work and your web site. Have you thought about putting the size of the bowls on the site? The big pecan is still here.

I finally had time to look over you site. Good job. I love the personality side. Most collectors by the artist and their reputation or at least that seems to help sales.

The only thing I would change is the spot where you said I would sign my pieces with a magic marker or whatever you said. That makes is sound cheap. I would simply say that I would say that I offer signed work or something to that effect. It sounds better. Good luck. I'm thinking about taking another bicycle trip through North Ga. Maybe I can plan to stop buy and visit you and Terry D.

>Hey Glenn: Thanks for the kind words. I have thought about the sizes being listed beside the bowls - I need to figure out how to get that up on the site.

I'd love to get some of that pecan, but right now I'm swamped - if it's not going anywhere, maybe I can come after the first of the year? Maybe I can come sooner, we'll see.

Thanks,

David

>David,

It's great! It's easy to navigate and shows off your work perfectly. I love learning more about the people who hang out here and this fit the bill. Nice to get to know you.

Fantastic job!

>Thanks Jennifer: the site was a freebie, so I was only filling in a template, but I'm happy with it for now - I just found out they add a banner in a week to my site, but it's cool to play with. :o)

Thanks,

David
