>i did my part today to show my support for the troops.. i hit the local woodcraft and turned out two sweet looking slimline pens.. first two i had ever done.. it was incredibly easy and definitley worth the time it took.

did anyone else hit a woodcraft and spin a pen for the troops?

>One of the clubs I belong to did a Turn A Thon in June and we sent over 400 pens and about $250 in donations to the Freedom Pen Project... I was very proud of our members...

We turned at a local Mall (they gave us a free space) everyone was real supportive..

>Went to Wood Craft today but did not turn any pens. I did carry 5 out of my small inventory though. It's the least I could do to support the troops.

>I knew I wouldn't be able to hit the Woodcraft for the Turn-a-Thon, since I had to be at the hospital with a Vet (my Dad) for a scheduled test. So instead I took a big box of nice blanks over to them last week. I hope they made good use of them!

Let me add that I am proud to know all of you who gave of your time for this worthwhile project!
