>Am I the only one that hates turning purple heart bowls? I've turned it on pens before. That sure is nothing like face turning the wood. If the bowl turns out, I'll post a picture.

I to didn't enjoy turning Purpleheart. It was as hard as nails and very difficult to get a reasonable finish on it from the chissel. I had to spend sometime with an RS2000 scraper until I was happy to move on to sanding. However the results are very satisfying. Only bought the blank because SWMBO was with me and fancied the colour.!!!
