Are there any pros or cons out there regarding to adding a router collet spindle to my Delta Rockwell shaper. Shaper spindle is 1/2".

>Shapers typically turn in the 7,000 to 10,000 RPM range, while most routers turn from 18,000 to 24,000 RPM. Adding the router spindle to the shaper is not a bad move, but you will have to pay particular attention to the feed rate to get a clean cut.
