Price tags for turning continued...

>John, it took me too long to take this picture, so I've started a new thread. The other was too far down the list. Here's a picture of my tags. I also use publisher and make them about the size of a business card. Printed on card stock and folded. I have "care and feeding" instructions on most of them too, since many folks don't know how to properly care for wood items. I put wood species and any detail information inside with the price.

I like your cards. I don't make many bowls but I've heard of too many woodturners who have had customers put things in the dishwasher. I'm going to be making a bunch of bowls for Christmas Festival that I will be in. I probably should put some care and feeding instructions on these.

How do you attach your tags to the items or do you simply hand the customer one as you sell them. John

>Hi John, I don't attach them to bowls. I usually us a walnut oil finish, and nothing seems to stick to it. I either have the card set up right next to the bowl, or in the bowl. For those items I can attach something to i.e. basting brush, candle holder, etc. I use a gold cord or thread looped through a hole punched in the card. I'm doing less and less bowls too, but I still have some. I've found the 'care and feeding' very receptive, especially when they are given as gifts.
