Don Henthorn Smithville, Texas

>I had a neat little block of walnut that I couldn't force myself to throw away so I started to turn a little broad rimmed bowl. I turned the top of the rim and then was called into the house. When I returned I turned the bottom of the rim and somehow misjudged the angle and turned the rim right off the bowl.)-: Went ahead abd finished it the way it was. Much smaller now but I kind of like it. My wife uses it on the table to keep her evening pills in.

>Hey Don, That's cool; it reminds me of one of those things a judge hits with a gavel. Only your's is concave. It's great that you were able to make a save. Alan in Md.

It's lovely.....it makes a perfect pill holder! I'm very partial to those little pieces too....I just can't bring myself to throw them away!

They make great ring cups.

>Hi Don,

Turned some small bowls a while back and my wife uses one for holding her rings next to the kitchen sink. Yours looks pretty nice.

Good Job. I've blown my share of pieces over the years. I used them as candle holders. I put those 3 and 4" diameter candles in them. They make a nice base for the candle.
