Burls anyone?

Ron in Drums PA

>I'm considering leading a group purchase on burls. I plan on talking with the same person Mike Schwing used to purchase 500# of the stuff.

I beleive this would work best if you are 1-2 hour drive from where I-80 and I-81 intersect in PA.

Details to follow.

Is anyone interested?

>Right now I'm gathering interested folks

As soon as I have 4-5 people who want together on this, I'll make a call and work on pricing. Last I heard it was around $1 per pound plus shipping. I'm not looking to make a profit on this, just looking to share the wealth.

Once I have a price per pound, I'll ask for commitments based on how much you want to buy. Negotiate a deal, get a price on shipping based on weight, have it shipped, then contact everyone to pick up thier wood.

Does this sound workable?

What kinds of wood?

>I know that $1/lb+shipping is great (I have a guy who has burls at $2-3/lb within driving distance.)

Shipping costs for a large order?

If it was something not available on the East Coast, I'm interested.
