Jet Mini Belt length

Barry

>I just spoke to the local distributor for Jet replacment parts, as I'm looking for a replacement belt for my mini lathe.

I was quoted $86.00 Cdn for the belt!!!. I bought the entire lathe for $350.00...seems pretty steep to me.

Does anyone know of another source for belts?

I tracked down some old messages referring to Aarubco Rubber Co. as a source. What is the standard length of the Jet mini belt?

Thanks

>For my Jet Mini, the old model (not VS) the belt is 24" around.

The belt designation is Poly-V, J section, 3 ribs, 24".

I bought replacements from Aarubco Rubber. If I remember correctly, about $5. each. With the shipping it makes sense to get at least a couple.

You need to order by phone. 1-800-821-2651.

>THANKS!!!

That's a WAY better price than $86.00 Canadian for ONE belt.

I'll call today.

>I could be completely off on this, but I thought I read in another thread a long while back that NAPA carried the same belt as needed by the mini lathe. I just can't remember if it was for the Jet or Delta. Then again I may have dreamed the whole thing. May be worth a shot if your in a hurry for a belt.
