>I just use grey paper (or any other color you like). It's about 40" wide and comes in long rolls from any good art supply store. When it gets dirty or wrinkled, just tear it off and unroll a fresh section. When you're done, roll it up and stand it in the corner of your closet.

>JoAnn's, or any fabric store, has width's up to 60". Just fold it up and put it in a drawer. Actually just lightly wad it up and put it in a sack, no fold line that way. Ray

>Everyone's already answered you. Be very careful with the faded backgrounds they are really fragile and scratch easily. That's why most of us use the seamless paper backgrounds and simply shade it or cast a shadow on it to make it looke like a fade. The faded or graduated backgrounds look really nice . As long as you don't slide or rotate the piece while it's on the background and your very carefull rolling them up it will last quite a while. Even some cleaners like 409 will leave marks that the camera can see.
I'm not a fan of wrinkled cloth. When you see the slides projected you just want to look at the wrinkled cloth. It's distracting to the viewer. The main subject is the artwork and you don't want anything taking away from that.
