Actually, it is going to be a great time....last year was more fun than some larger shows I've been to....this is a great group of turners, all willing to share their knowledge. see you there!

I just uncrated my new Powermatic 3520A lathe this week. Haven't had time to try and use it yet. Hopefully this weekend will stimulate my creativity and get me turning.

>I'm not sure what you're looking for but there is a reception Friday evening, demos all day Saturday, a dinner cruise Sat. evening with a slide presentation, demos and gallery critique all day Sunday, with wood and tool vendors who will gladly trade their goods for your money. Also Sunday right next to our venue is an international festival of nations with lots of food and other stuff.

There are lots of museums, malls, restaurants, bike/hike trails, even a Woodcraft store in the area. I'm looking forward to meeting all the WC folks and would like to try and get a group photo to put up as a sighting! Several presenters are also WC contributors, such as Russ Fairfield, Keith Tompkins, Brad Vietje(sp),etc.

We hope this year is the beginning of a new major event here in the Northeast for turning. Last year was a great time and we hope to continue to grow and get even better.
