>Went to a Bonnie Klein demo last week and picked up lots of practical how-to's on turning acrylic...this one's not threaded, but it is chattered. The box measures 2" wide and stands 1.75" tall, made from cast acrylic rod, wet sanded from 220 to 600 grit, followed by a buff with Novus plastic polish.
>Here ya go...link below. Be sure to purchase cast, not extruded acrylic. Also, go for the "Machine Grade" stuff...no need to pay extra for a polished surface that will end up on the floor.
>That is very nice! Beautiful finish! I really like the color as well. We are having Bonnie at our symposium this weekend and she is staying a few extra days to do some hands-on teaching also. I'm really looking forward to meeting her. Thanks a ton for the great link too and the advice about cast vs. extruded, machine grade, etc.
I added our symposium link for fun. Come on by if you can!
