DPDT wiring help!

>Following a recent post, I decided to wire my Leeson motor for reversing. Normal wiring goes: P1 to line, P2/T3/T5 taped, T2/T4/T8 to line. To reverse the motor just interchange T5 and T8 - no problem. So, now I have a DPDT switch rated to 20 amps at 110V (which should be fine since the motor draws ~14amps at 110V). I CAN'T FIGURE OUT HOW TO WIRE THE THING - THOUGHT I HAD IT BUT WHEN I TURNED IT ON I HEARD A COUPLE OF SIZZLE CRACKLE SOUNDS AND THE SURGE PROTECTOR POPPED [I USE IT AS AN ON/OFF SWITCH FOR POWER] - SOMEONE PLEASE HELP BEFORE I FRY MY MOTOR!
