60 year old Delta Lathe

Rob Bourgeois, NW Mississippi

>I purchased the lathe,I mentioned earlier. It was a Delta 1460 in good condition. It also came with a 6 in jointer and stand sander. Both of which need repair(missing guards, new power cords).

All of them have some rust from being stored in a barn for 60 years and all were purchased for $180. I checked the serial numbers and they are from March 1944..twice as old as me..

The lathe needs a gaurd for the top of the pulleys, a locking mechanism for the tail stock and a tool rest. Pictures to come soon and lots of questiosn as soon as I get the parts.

Pictures as soon.

>Look on ebay for the belt guard. I saw someone awhile back who was selling these.
