I also use that BS1 chuck and have perfect results. I drill my hole smaller and use a tap in my vice-grip to pre-thread it.

I just received 15 chrome with the black rubber from Wood Turningz for $2.00. These are the ones that PSI sells. I'm pretty sure that there was a better price on 50 than this but you can call Ryan at 888-736-5487. He's a nice guy and will help you out with PSI products. Also he sells the chuck with the proper size bit for $8.95. Shipping is pretty quick also. I guess you can tell that I appreciate these people.

If you have #1 jaws or spigot jaws on your chuck, just go down and buy a dozen 6" long 3/8 bolts to use as mandrels. They work great in my oneway stronghold with spigot jaws. The 6" length keeps you clear of the chuck. I batch process about a dozen at a time,leaving the stoppers on the bolts until the finish is completely dry.
