>3-1/4"h x 2-3/8"w

Khaya - BLO

Ebony - Lacquar

This is the first project I used Sorby's 1" spindemaster. It works great for hollowing out end grain. But I'd rather use a skew for spindle work. I also wish it was thicker.

As Always critiques are welcomed

>Real nice piece Ron. Like the inlay work. Did the spindlemaster chatter too much?

>The gold is real 22kt gold and is a product called SignGold. You've seen this material on police cars, fire trucks and outdoor signage. Signgold is a thin material with a extremely aggressive adhesive on the back. When used on vehicles can stand up to pressure washing.

The lid is one solid piece of ebony. I turned both sides very carefully to give the illusion that the large gold ring is one solid piece.
