Mike, beautiful work *LINK*

>I haven't said this to you before, but I love the cutting boards, and now the turnings you are doing with the laminated woods. I am not a hugh fan of laminated turnings, not that they are not beautiful, just never have the time to spend gluing up for days to get ready to turn a piece. My daily routine in the shop right now starts with a 1 to 10 turnings (depending on what I am making) to get me going in the morning, then switch to flat work (cabinets and furniture).

I have been really tempted to make some of your cutting boards. I have a local business that sells a boat load of cheese every month that I have been making cutting boards for. I have been considering some of yours, but I would hate to copy them.

John I copied them!

>The original idea for these boards came from the "Incra Projects Book" that came with my Incra table saw fence a long time ago. In the articles I have written about these I always give credit to Incra for the original idea, and in fact I asked for their permission to use their idea before I started selling the boards. I've taken their original idea and bastardized it a million ways, but it is still theirs and not my own.

I wouldn't have the time or inclination to glue up boards for this either, but it seems that folks recognize these as my "style" so I might as well capitalize on it.

I think you should make them too and sell them wherever you can. My cutting boards fetch $150-200 each now and I still have a bunch of tricks up my sleeve.

One day in the not too far off future you'll see a matched set including a cutting board, a bowl, a platter, knife, fork, and spoon all carved from the same pattern.
