>I learned today of the passing of Rich Pagano, one of the premier segmented woodturners in the world. His work was featured in the del Mano gallery, among others, and won numerous awards.
Rich was a fellow member of the Adirondack woodturners, and was someone I greatly admired. This is a sad day indeed.

>Very sad news indeed. Rich was a great guy, easy going, laid back and immensely talented. His work is outstanding and quite unique as segmenting goes. He always said "It's really easier than it looks. Come on out to the shop and we'll play around." I regret that I never took him up on the offer. He will be missed tremendously by our club as well as his family and friends. The woodturning world has lost a true creative visionary. That is indeed terrible news. I had never met Rich, but have emailed back and forth several times. He was a true master of the segmented world. His work was just outstanding. But the greatest loss is to his friends and family.
If you see them, please pass on my best wishes in this difficult time.
The woodturning world is a little darker tonight.
