small cherry crotch bowl

Mike Schwing from Md.

>Beatiful figure, from a neighbor's tree that fell down last year during hurricane Isabel. Been drying out for about 8 months I guess, finish turned it today.

Finished with mylands sanding sealer and mylands lacquer. Rubbed with 0000 wool.

About 6" in diameter. Turning lots of small bowls in a hurry for a friend with a booth at an upcoming festival in Gettysburg.

Thanks for looking

>Hi Mike,

I'm a fan of pieces with simple lines and this one really has it. I like it because it looks like a big bowl! Nice featuring of the grain as well.

Thanks for the pics,

Mike

May actually get to dust off the lathe today in Apex, NC!!!!
