Vacuum pump - Bernie

>Thanks, Bernie. The vacuum pump just arrived, and it is a beauty! And it is not very noisy either. It will pull more than enough vacuum to hold just about any piece.

Now I need to make a chuck, and put together the rest of the outfit. I am planning to build as much as possible myself.

I will keep everyone posted, and hopefully post some pics.

>Fred,

If you have not done so already, go to the BP articles and look up the Vacuum chuck article by our very own Al Crandal. I have used this design to make a couple of systems for my Vega and my Jet Mini, as well as several for club members. You can build the whole thing for under $20.

Some of the Part Numbers have changed, and some of the locations may be different, but it is basically very good.
