I got a bunch of stair treads somebody gave me years ago, finally decided to do something with 'em. They're wierd: engineered plywood, each ply totally clear, no knots, no voids, no "boats", like Baltic Birch only all different species and thick plys' like 1/8" each. They were spiral stair treads, made to have the edges showing, each tread 1-5/16" thick.

Anyway, nasty stuff to turn, but pleased with the results.

>The first one was nice, this picture is breath taking. I really enjoy 'simple' forms the most and you got yourself a nice find with that wood, too.

>I am astounded by the form of this bowl and the way the grain seems to swirl...well, I would love to see this piece in person, also.

You should be very proud.
