I read somewhere that the reason alot of WWers in Africa leave an area of untouched wood on thier pieces is so the piece remembers it was a tree.I incorporate that thought into my work where appropriate.

Looks like you`ve come up with a great piece that will always remember where it came from.

Is it just the pics or is there a softer finish on the rim?Either way it makes a good transition from the glossy interior to the natural void and "miniburl".

I love the ADDED feature and how you enhanced that in this piece. There is something I really like as well about your heavy collar and the smaller scaled bowl set into the piece, the wood speaks for itself as does your wonderful talent.
