The combined runout of the insert threads and the chuck may be to much. You might get away with it for a face place. But at $60 a pop you would be better off buying a new face plate.

It is a Godsend. I am able to use my old faceplates and chucks with out problem. The runout is undetectable.

Well worth me money if you have a big investment in the other faceplates like I do.

hmm.. try to save a buck and you end up spending more.. i guess i'll buy it once and do it right..
