This is the first I have tried. Used birch burl and maple top and bottom.

Ebonized with stove black.

I did not want to use any my better woods for the

prototype and would probably not ebonize the next one. However, I do like the look and is a good use for less then interesting wood.

Sorry about the photo. Black items a challange.

>With that particular foot design, I wonder if it would not look a bit better if the foot (only) were left natural. That way it would look like a stand for the actual urn.
