A diferant kind of hollowing

>The body of this ornament is from one of SWMBO's chickens. It's light blue. The ends were opened with a fine cutter in a Dremel and the innerds were blown out with the air hose. It makes a good omelet! After washing and drying the cap and finial were turned from a walnut pen blank. The cap was glued on a bit off center. It's 6 1/2" tall.
I think it needs some decoration, either painting or cutting a design through the shell.

>I can never the breed name but they lay blue and green eggs. One of the ironic things is that the comercial egg farms get rid of the hens at about 3 years old. Some of ours are 5+ and they lay enormus eggs, almost the size of duck eggs. They won't fit in a carton.
