Earth to David Propst.

Dave Smith, Longview, WA

>Hi David,

I met a man today who had recently moved to Vancouver, WA from Hendersonville, NC. We were talking turning and he told me about how big his old turning club was. I asked him if he knew David Propst and he said yes. Small world, eh. I suppose he could have been pulling my leg. His name is Henry Chouch. I couldn't believe he didn't know Andy Halterman since he was from Hendersonville. Meeting Henry was a nice treat during the carving show toady. I got lots of verbal praise but not much monetary compensation. But I was reminded of all the great friend I have met on Badger Pond and Wood Central. It wasn't cash but it was almost as good as money.

If I could bank compliments I would be a rich man in Longview, WA.

>Hey Dave!

The Carolina Mountain Woodturners based in Asheville is the club he was referring to. It is a top notch club with great monthly demonstrators, facility, and folks. If anyone is visiting this area around the third Saturday of the month, it definitely worth a visit.

Hopefully when I finish school I'll have time to attend meetings again! I'll be done with class in January and will take the board exam in February. I can see the light at the top of the mountain.

Thanks for thinking of me. I try to browse here a couple times a week. See ya next summer!

Good to hear from you.

>Hi David,

Glad to hear things are still on track. The next time we get together you and Sandy can talk about something other than woodworking. I would rather talk about woodworking.

I cringe when my wife talks about work at the dinner table in Longview, WA.
