>I have a talon and looked for a 2nd chuck..would like to have one for use with smaller jaws to hold small object and my talon could hold bowls, and also I would like to use the cole or simlar jaws, any idea's on a good 2nd chuck..and cheap location?..Dennis

>Another Talon with #1 or step jaws. Mini Jumbo jaws (cole jaws) are also available for it. You've got a Talon, so you already know its a good chuck.

>I suggest either what Peter said, another Talon or if you have a lathe with 12" or greater turning radius go for the Stronghold if you do larger bowls. By getting another Talon the jaws are interchangeable. It doesn't pay to go cheap in the chuck department.

>Another Talon with the Oneway 'spigot' jaws is just what the doctor ordered. #1 jaws have little use/value (my opinion).
If you check around you can buy a Talon body only (they come with #2 jaws standard) and then buy the spigot jaws. Worked for me.

>Don't forget the origional oneway chuck. The jaws are interchangable. and you actually get a little bit better range of operation. And the price is better. I may be biased, I have two of the oneway chucks, and I like them better than the tallon ( whick out club has)

I agree! I have both the Oneway & the Talon. The Talon is a back up & I use the Oneway the most. I've got all the jaw sets.
