>Jack, the best thing about the One-way balancer is that it puts the wheel 90 degrees to the shaft. Most cheap grinders have very poor hubs to hold the wheel and the wheels wobble. A local machine shop could make you a set of new hubs but I would think the cost would be as high as the One-way.

Here's what I did. First I put brass shims under the hubs to take the wobble out of the wheels. Next I rotated the wheels with a pencil on the tool rest and found the high spot on the wheels. I loosened the hubs and move the wheels a little. Then checked it with the pencil again. One side adjusted with just little work the other wheel took a while. After I got them really close I trued them up using a T shaped diamond wheel hone.
I'm sure it doesn't work as good as the Oneway system or nearly as easy but it didn't cost me anything.
