>Well I finally got around to trying my hand at bowl turning this weekend. It's not completely finished, I need to make a bowl holder like Bill Grumbine shows on his web site, so I can finish the bottom of the bowl.

From here it looks like a great start. No obvious tear out, bruised grain and the interior profile appears to match the exterior.
