What is safest way to cut blanks from logs
Dick McNeill
>From hurricane ravaged Pensacola. We have tens of thousands trees down, most just tipped over at their roots. We hear chain saws day & night. I'm a novice woodturner who would like to make turning blanks but am unsure of the safest way of doing it. I have just bought a Husquavarna 350 (18" long). Any advice would be appreciated. P.S. Many of the trees in my neighborhood were red cedar. Any info about turning this wood would be valuable.
