>I just signed up for this forum, although I have been lurking for a couple of weeks, going through the old messages trying to pick up anything I can that will help me improve my wood turning skills. I just started turning in May 2004 on a Jet mini Lathe. I have made several Pens, Fan Pulls and a couple of boxes and I plan on starting trying my hand at turning bowls, small bowls since 6 inches is as big as I can get on my lathe. I will post a few pictures of the things I have done. Comments and criticism welcome, I know I have a lot to learn.

tip_house@oclc.org for meeting info. They were meeting on the west side of OSU. You will find that most/all woodturners are a friendly bunch and just love to have a newbie come along that they can nurture.

>We still meet near OSU on the Second Tuesday of the month in the OSU Industrial Arts Building, 1100 Kinnear Road. Our next meeting is October 12th at 7 pm and we will be having demo's of small projects that can be made in under an hour.

>Stan it's pretty easy to get to. Take the Lane Ave exit off of 315. Go west to the first light (Kenny Road). Turn left (south) onto Kenny Rd. at the light. Go to the next light and turn right (west) onto Kinear. The Industrial Arts Building is on the right side of the road about one block down. Come around the back of the building and come through the door by the loading dock.
