>Nelson,

Not sure that you are from around here either, but those that know him, know that no offense was meant. And if you have read any other of Terry's recent posts, you would know that his area of Georgia recieve as much damage from flooding as the vast majority of Alabama did from the winds and rain - save for the coastal areas.

So, cool off, since he was poking fun at me - you ain't got a dog in the fight.

>I say Nelson old boy, even I (from outside the USA, but having personal experience of what a crap hand life can deal you at times) can spot humor amongst friends.

If you can't jolly well laugh in the face of adversity (sp) then you may as well stop ruddy breathing and leave the air for the rest of us.

So my good man this disadvantaged but happy woodturner says to you ...

Hey Nelson...

By the way, if you insist on getting your panties in a wad over what is posted here, you might want to clean up your language...you know, glass houses and stones and all that stuff.

>Nelson, before I moved here I lived in a far west county of Georgia, joining Alabama. A lot of the guys I worked with actually lived in Alabama. We always swapped jokes at each other; no one ever got mad. Up north they do the same with "Pollocks". Again, no harm intended. I have never lived anywhere that someone wasn't picked on. It may not be politically correct but humor usually isn't. I don't dish out anything I can't take. You heard any new Georgia jokes lately?

>Did you hear about the Univ of GA football player that didn't get an NFL contract after graduating Summa Cum Laude from UGA? He finally got a job offer. His main duty is to ask, "Do you want french fries with that burger..."

BubbaBob

Fan of GA Tech, where the football players can actually read and write.

>Two guys are driving down the road - one a UGA Grad, one is a GA Tech grad. The UGA grad says "You know, some folks can tell where you graduated from just by the way you talk." The GT Grad says "I don't believe it, prove it." The the UGA guy pulls that car over to a roadside stand, goes up to the owner and says "Give me some 'maters, some 'taters, and some pole beans." The owner says, hey you sound like a UGA grad. So they go driving back down the road, and the GT grad says, "I just don't believe that, I gotta try it - Pull over here."

He goes up to the owner and says "Give me some 'maters, some 'taters, and some pole beans." The owner says, hey you sound like a GT grad. The GT grad says "How did you guess." The other guy says "'Cuz this is a Gas Station."
