>I just got my new aaw magazine. There was a well-deserved piece on WC's own Russ Fairfield. I know I have benefitted greatly from his advise here.
Also, nice urn, Bill Grumbine....the grain fits the piece perfectly.

>Yes, very well deserved recognition. When I first returned to woodturning after a several-year lull, I was looking for articles on how best to apply a Tung Oil finish. Google pointed me to "Russ's Corner" and that is how I came to know Woodcentral.
To top it off, I then picked up a 1998 issue of American Woodturner and you'll never guess who had a nice article in there about finishes... Yep, Russ Fairfield.
Finally, I owe him a debt of gratitude as well as many of you who were on that chat that Wednesday night about a month or so ago that led to me isolating the cause of my Hives allergic reation to the CA finish I was using on pens. For that I am truly grateful.
Chuck.
If he says it; you can take it to the bank

>Each time Russ suggested something I would try it and I quickly realized that he always knew what he was talking about. We are fortunate to have Russ here on WC to help us, and can you believe all his expertise and advice is free? THANKS RUSS!

>I agree with all said. I have gotten more from Russ than any other source regarding finishing. He is a model for sharing what you know, which I think woodturners, on the whole, do a pretty good job on.
Go get'em Sage Russ
